Hiking and overnight stay under the stars

8H / HIKE AND NIGHT UNDER THE STARS


The trail for the first day runs along the entire Aravis chain and joins the Col des Ânes in the commune of Grand-Bornand. Allow 4 to 5 hours of walking (10 km) with an elevation gain of 400m.


The bivouac is located very close to the Duche chapel and at the bottom of the famous Stations of the Cross.

On site, freshness with the stream which comes down from the mountain pastures, but also with the miraculous spring of Blessed John of Spain. (drink without moderation!) Possibility of making a fire with nearby dead wood.


The next day, descent to the village of Grand Bornand through mountain pastures and spruce forests. (-600 M altitude difference and around ten kilometers) Then the climb and return to La Clusaz through the Danay massif. (count 400m and 2 hours of walking)


Possibility of stopping in the village of Grand-Bornand to avoid going back up to La Clusaz.

I'll collect the driver of your car and the donkey from Le Grand Bornand.


To fully enjoy this hike, it is desirable that you already have bivouac experience.


Prices and conditions:

- Renting a donkey: €145 for 2 days

- You leave around 9 a.m. and return the next day before 7 p.m.
